Meet Our School Nurse

Whitney Drum

Welcome to Sherrills Ford Elementary! I am Whitney Drum, School Health Nurse for Sherrills Ford Elementary.

I graduated from UNC Wilmington with my Bachelor’s in Nursing. Prior to that I earned a Bachelor’s in Community Health from Lenoir-Rhyne University. I am a 2008 graduate of Bandys High School so this community is near and dear to my heart.

I spent the first seven years of my career in ER/Long Term Care Environments. I joined the school health team last April. I am currently serving as a School Health charge nurse overseeing the Bandys Feeder district.

I am incredibly lucky to be included in the Sherrills Ford family and hope that my role can assist in assuring your child and family experience at SFES is the best and healthiest possible. 

If I am not at school, where am I? You can find me chasing my four-year-old daughter Everly and two dogs around on our 12 acres. As a family my husband, daughter and I enjoy camping during the summer months and my daughter is currently obsessed with everything Disney!
